The add-on only use the minimum scopes (permissions) required to be able to generate and insert a QR code inside the current editing document:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request: To send the current document url to google’s QR code generation service, the resulting QR code is then inserted inside the document.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/documents: To view and manage your Google Docs documents. We use it to access the current document, for QR code insertion
